HALLINGPLAST A.S

Pressure Pipes

Production
Hallingplast AS produces high pressure water pipes in PE 80 and PE 100. The range of external dimensions is Ø16 mm up to and including Ø630 mm. These pipes are manufactured according to international standards. Our PE 80/PE100 pipes are in stock both in coils for smaller dimensions, and as straight lengths for the whole range of dimensions. The pipes can be delivered in several combinations with coloured longitudinal stripes to show whether the pipes are transporting water (blue stripes), sewage under pressure (rust-coloured stripes), gas (yellow stripes) etc. The pipes are joined either by butt fusion, electro-welded sleeve couplings, or with flange joints. The last two methods are used especially in combination with installation of fittings / fixtures.

Areas of use
PE 80/PE 100 pipes have unlimited areas of use. The advantage of these pipes is that one obtains an all-welded pipeline. That means that one is guaranteed 100% tightness. Further, the pipes can withstand a lot, which means that they are fit for use in our climate. The materials do not give off taste or smell, and are therefore well suited for transporting drinking water. PE 80/PE 100 also have high resistance to chemicals as well as withstanding internal wear, which makes these pipes very well suited indeed for industrial purposes.

For example, pipes made of PE 80/PE 100 can be used for:

  • Transmission cables submerged in water, avoiding excavation costs on land.
  •  Restoration of old pipes by pulling PE 80/PE 100 through existing pipes.
  • "no dig". Hence that by guided drilling under town streets, under rivers, roads etc. one pulls through pipes and one saves high excavation costs.
  • Pipelines for mini/micro power stations.
  • Distribution of gas to households.
  • Transport of corrosive liquids, slam etc. for industrial purposes.
